Headaches

Headaches, however, if painful and frequent, can drive anyone out of their mind. While some manage to get away with a headache that goes away after a few hours, some aren’t as lucky. Their headaches could be a migraine headache and it could last for days, in a few cases, a week or two.

Going Natural

Aromatherapy – essential oils (extracts and fragrances) from flowers, herbs and trees help promote health and well-being.

Chiropractic – this is now considered a CAM alternative medical system which concentrates on the link between body structure (principally that of the spine) and function. It is said to preserve and restore health.

Migraine Information

Even physicians and health care professionals encourage some of their patients not to turn their backs on healing methods that are 100% natural. There are non-drug substances, techniques on self-healing, exercises, and lifestyle changes that offer relief. In many cases, relief has been long term and permanent.

SOME FRIENDLY ADVICE ABOUT DRUG THERAPY

This is the 21st century. The most fashionable argument is –

there is no need to suffer if there is a way out. No one is asking you

to be a martyr. Still, some people prefer to endure their headache

pain, no matter how debilitating and excruciating, because they think

that they’ve been dealt this fate and there is not much they can do.

That is one of the reasons why headaches, despite continuing

research into treatment methods, fail to get treated.

Headaches & Migraines

. External Triggers
Sunlight
The glare of the sun can trigger headaches – tension, cluster or
migraines. The heat from the sun could dilate blood vessels and
generate a migraine. Other bright lights like disco and flickering lights
can also lead to headaches.
Eyestrain
When muscles around the eye area contract, this means that
eyestrain has set in. This may happen just by staring at a computer
screen for long periods without taking a break, or when trying to read
small or fine print from any reading material. If an individual is doing
work that requires extended times of focusing and concentrating, he
must take five minute regular breaks so that muscles around the eyes
do not become strained.
Noise
Noisy, repetitive sounds from machinery or from other
residential or industrial source can cause headaches and migraines.
Loud music or even yelling qualifies as a trigger factor. With or
without getting headaches or migraines, people should avoid loud
noise since it may cause not only headaches, but also loss of hearing
in the long term.
